Narrator (Voice Over) Empires rise and fall, great leaders glorify the state before falling for their own ambitions. Along with great leaders come ruthless tyrants that lead the empire to the brink of collapse. Our tale will not follow one of the memorable leaders… but the latter… a man by the name of Dalton Osborne. It will follow the rise and fall of his empire…
Okay so the last time, there was confusion on what the film was going to be... so I'm going to clarify...
This is a mafia film... the empire is a drug dealing business (altough there will be no drugs of ANY kind during this movie). The story will follow Dalton's journey from a bodygaurd to the eventual assasination of the drug lord.
That, however, would only be Part I. Part II would follow Dalton's assertion of the drug business to his downfall when everyone turns against him.
Oh and the entire movie will be in B&W. I will also get fake blood capsules to simulate blood.
This movie will definetly be a PG-13 movie and maybe even an R rated. Though no language.... I'm hoping that Eric would play Dalton. I'm going to play a VERY small role and keep my place behind the camera. There will be a LOT of night shots.
Richie, before you begin telling me how mpossible this project would be, there are key differences from this to Leviathan... number 1... the acting doesn't need to be outstanding (Dalton is in fact quite monotonous)... and i'm going to be 99% behind the camera. So I know how the shot will be before hand. Also, each part will be a max of 15 mins long.

Actually I wasn't going to slam it as impossible. All I was going to say is FINISH MUTANTS FIRST and make sure you step your writing up for this one. Your resume contains elements which are...lacking...

Right now, I don't care if "Mutants" ever gets finished or not. I want to get "Visions" finished, as well as some of the other projects other people have planned (are we EVER going to get to filming "The Mind"?!).
Interesting... right when I, a PG-13/R director ("Fight Ultimatum" would get an R just for that final act of violence), start to make PG-rated fare, you, a PG director, are starting a PG-13/R epic.
As for the role I have in here, as the main character?
Sounds like fun.

The more I discuss it with Aniket the more it sounds possible. I'm excited, but there is a massive potential for an over-artistic meltdown. Play your cards right and this could be our first serious action movie and possibly better than Code of "Con"duct. (Now why have we stopped hearing about that one, hmmmm?)

The main reason why i think why Leviathan faltered was that it was heavily compared to CoCd. I do not want this movie to be compared to any of my past films... i'm making this movie as if i haven't made a movie before it... if there is any comedy in this movie, then it is unintentional...
i have to say this... after reviewing my concept, i realzed that this movie sounds like something kenny would right up. cept there is more dialougue then violence.

You don't seem to think straight late at night. Leviathan did not faulter in comparison to other films. Leviathan faultered because it was not written as well as Code of "Con"duct. Now, if you say kenny could have written Inner Circle then I am very afraid for your concept. Let me clarify that: A movie which seems to be plot intensive has too much action. That means, once again, the writing is flawed. Do a little bit of rethinking on it.
(And if you think I am implying that anything I write is perfect then you are mistaken. A critic can complain about something he can't do himself. That is part of the job of criticism as I understand it. Now I can't make any constructive comments without having sen the draft. So I can only complain and hope that helps you make better choices. If you would like me to give a shot at writing it I'll try; it might not be exactly what you want. If that is the case, give it the old Fight Movie 3 treatment.

I didn't say that kenny could've written it, i said that this movie, on first glance, sounds like somthing that kenny would write
btw, the only artistic step i'm taking is the 100% Black and White and the final montage. (music too)

I wouldn't write this. I have my hands full. HOPEFULLY FM05 can be edited and released by the end of G2. However this seems like a different take on "Max Payne's" criminal underworld. That could lead to bad things. However, are you using a night scope for nighttime shooting? Because then your B/W idea would never fly. The green would look like SHIT in B/W.

I'd highly doubt Aniket would be using nightshot for this film. I would assume most of the scenes take place indoors, anyways, with some exteriors, using whatever lighting available.
Anyways, okay, yes, we can do this project, but after "Visions", "The Mind", "a drunk in the park" and "Schedule" are done filming.

Just an update on the progress on this film... i'm thinking about removing the profanity from this movie and stick with my no-cuss-on-screen policy.
Other then that... I've set up the cast list
Dalton Osborne- Eric T. Jones Juan A Miller- Yukihiro Suda Stan Kramer- Richard Davis Body Gaurd #1- Alex Lin Body Gaurd #2- Aniket Das Random extras sorry, my mind has black out on me. i'll finish the list when i get home expect a second draft script by next monday.

If you're to remove the profanity, don't replace with any trumped-up swear alternatives- just remove it, period.
Go ahead with the script- I'd like to see it when it's done.

We've seen how bad alternatives are- see Die Hard and The Matrix on TBS with their trumped swearing alternatives- it's hilarious! Also, FotB 1 proved how funny that is.
