Singer/dancer people that aren't afraid of what they do: Check. Accompanimet: Check. Do you want me to start asking people if they are interested soon, or wait until the songs/ scripts are actually finished before I do so?

Well, unless they have some sort of songwriting talent with that- meaning original music AND lyrics, not parodying off of copyrighted songs. I'm not taking any chances with this one.

Yeah, though I might have utilized a variety of keyboard options to simulate an orchestra (I doubt anyone is going to volunteer that much effort to actually play their violin/trumpet/real-non-piano-instrument for our movie), to give a wider variety than piano.

Those were the main three I was thinking of. I could also play clarinet for it. I would have to break it out and start practicing it again, but if it isn't going to be filmed within the next couple of months (which, from the looks of it, is pretty likely), I can do that.

I am seriously considering this as a summer project now, and hopefully I can get a script (complete with songs) done with a good cast to get this filmed efficiently.

I'll probably have the briefcase man be played with his face obscured (from behind)- not exactly a fan of teens playing adults (or vice versa), would like to keep the actor's age to the character's age close to a a 1:1 ratio.

I'm tall enough... And I could try to grow out a beard instead of trimming it...

Yeah, but it isn't convincing enough- you can tell when a teenage actor is playing an adult character. It's a bit part, anyway, and I think we can get away with just showing the back of the actor.

Yeah, that makes more sense. Then I can do more than one character! (Your call, but if you want individual actors for each role, then that would be a pretty long cast list...)

Well, it depends on how many characters I write in. Extras can probably be reused.

Well, if you have a lot of songs with ensemble parts, the ensemble doesn't have to be different each time. Most musicals have the same ensemble all the way through. Even still, this definitely sounds like there will be a lot of actors in this, including a lot of extras.
