I have seen a rule being violated recently, and it really, really irritates me:
4. Off-topic Posts. The most frequent offence on this board, and the sole reason I created this topic. Now, I will be on alert even more for off-topic posting. I won't let them slide like I did before, as I saw how chaotic it got. It took some intervention by Skywalker for me to finally decide to create this topic. Just because a topic's dead, or you don't feel like you're getting enough attention, does NOT mean you can turn into an attention whore and spam every single topic on every single board. All that does is make you look like a dumbass, and you will be regarded as such if you do that. There's been a SPAM board where you can post completely off-topic posts.
...yes, this means that if a topic is titled "Code of 'Con'duct", you stick to talking about "Code of 'Con'duct". I have had to delete many posts recently, and WILL delete more if you cannot stick to the topic in anything outside the SPAM forum.

And I think we should have a fifth rule, for general safety:
5. Do not make posts referring to any area of our surroundings, do not make posts about local news or about timeframes, and ensure that nobody knows our actual location.
Remember, I live in St. Petersburg, Russia.
This is a fair enough rule, right?

I think we've gotten the point on that, Kenny. Go ahead and make it a rule, but lay off of iblv. He's given his apologies (several times), and it wasn't completely serious. I don't think anyone out of the area would know what center we were talking about.

I'm still putting that under consideration- I do not know whether or not I'll put it up as an actual rule.

after consideration, i think it should be a rule
although, like hanna(h) said, nobody except the ppl in our area would know about the places that we would give as references

Okay i'm adding this
6. If a person swears in a topic (discounting "shit"), then the perpetrator's post WILL be deleted. If the perpetrator is the creator of the topic, then the topic WILL BE DELETED. If a person continues to break this rule, then that person will face suspension from posting. However, since the SWEARING FITZ topics have gotten out of control, THE PERSON THAT RESTARTS A "SWEARING FITZ" TOPIC OR STARTS A TOPIC FOR THE PURPOSE OF SWEARING WILL BE SUSPENDED ON THE FIRST OFFENCES. CONSIDER YOURSELVES WARNED.
Some of our parents can't stand people swearing. If you can't control yourself, then you don't belong on this forum.

Good rule, Skywalker. And for those of you (*cough*) that seem to think this violates your First Amendment rights, try READING the First Amendment again before you pull that stuff. It clearly says, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." So unless you can prove that Eric, Skywalker, or Bluesabre are part of Congress, they are allowed to make this rule without infringing on our rights.
Just for clarification: are "damn" and "hell" considered swear words under this new rule?

Anything below "shit" on the bad language scale is accepted...... I think? Well, shit. I don't know what to say to you people. You guys are evidently worried that these topics will draw people away from the forums for some odd reason. And does "suspension" constitiute an ip ban?

If you won't let us disclose slightest hints of locations, we won't disclose what "suspension" extends to.
...and yes, anything "shit" and milder on the profanity glossary is accepted. This is what I mean when I say my generosity goes unappreciated. I give you so much and all you want is more. Need I remind you most boards don't ALLOW "shit"? Most boards don't allow most profanities, either!

personallly, i think "damn" should not be allowed
in my opinion, its worse than "shit"
so i would like it banned, primarily based on its common usage, as well as its connotation

Let's not go to extremes, shall we?.......... right...

Actually, maybe we SHOULD go to extremes here, Kenny. After all, we started out at the extremes on the asl board, and you eventually learned. Maybe going to extremes is exactly what you need.
