boards.ign.com/sonic_the_hedgehog/b5224/134164266/p1/Yes, those gags are all made out of ACTUAL "Sonic" lines. And this was in a cutscene in "Sonic the Hedgehog" for Xbox 360: Sonic: Hold on tight, Elise. Elise: Let's go! Sonic: Alright! Sonic: Yes! Elise: Ahh... Sonic: Ouch! Elise: Oh no! Sonic: That's it, I'm getting out of this cave. Like I said, Sonic Team needs new writers. EDIT: And here is one from Sonic Adventure DX: Amy: I don't need to tell you anything! You tell me why YOU want it! E-102 Gamma: Does not compute. Amy: You don't even know? I know you might hurt us both! Please, Mr. Robot, won't you help us? Please? E-102 Gamma: Insufficient data. You have feelings for something you know nothing about! Illogical! Amy: I pity you. Love is not part of your programming. You are missing something good! In context, Amy is referring to a bird she has with her, but out of context it becomes really.....bad. They need to kill the Amy character RIGHT BLEEPING NOW. Or at least make her a bit more important and less horrid dubs. But whatever.

Hold on do people play Sonic games for the story line? I don't. In fact I like the 2-d Sonic games better where there was no dialogue.

As far as your comment goes, I agree- the Sonic games were better when they focused on game mechanics rather than plot. But quite frankly I think with the 3D evolution of games, plot needs just as much expansion as gameplay. Take "Metroid Prime" for example- that game had a gigantic story that the player could choose to unravel or completely ignore through the scanning interface. It had a truly titanic back-story through all the logs and status reports and chozo lore you could scan, and yet the entire game progressed without one piece of actual dialog. To me, that game is a mastery of the art form of a first person adventure, and Sonic should strive to match it's greatness. But as long as it has such hokey writers, it will never realize this goal. We need a darker story, more character development, and less cliches.
