If you guys get the game contact me so we can play during my spring vacation. I need to get good at the beginning of the release. Also as soon as Starcraft 2 give me your battlenet id so we play immediately. I am sicked and tired of getting dominated in video games.

It takes some getting used to for the game on Wii (a word of warning: each player requires a nunchuck), but "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" has some pretty good things going for it so far.
-Solid Snake is indeed as powerful as you think he'd be- even if I think his context should be in stealth and not overt fighting (reportedly the "Metal Gear" creator begged for Nintendo to include Snake). -Pit from "Kid Icarus" is also great, but Meta Knight (Kirby) is a killing machine -On the other hand, one of Ness' buddies, Lucas, is even worse than his counterpart. -But the one that really takes the cake on power and just overall kickassery is a frickin' NES controller- R.O.B.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the 3rd bullet. Reasons? - He's faster than Ness - His attacks are faster - PK Fire and PK Thunder are actually lethal this time around. PK Fire doesn't create a column of fire, but rather blasts the opponent, and PK Thunder doesn't disappear when you hit an opponent. As a result, it's an excellent spiking move. - Lastly, Lucas has a tether recovery. - His ground Up-A fully charged, has the potential to do 66% damage in one hit and is sure fire way to KO an opponent if there's nothing above you
My observations from playing the game so far - Sonic is f***ing fast... almost too fast if you asked me. I've accidently run off the level multiple timed. He's also got good attacks - Olimar (from Pikmin) is hard to play, but he has the potential to do a LOT of damage. - Wolf, the newest addition from Starfox franchise, is a little too slow for my taste. - Ike (from Fire Emblem), is a beast... he's easy to play with, he's INSANELY strong, really good for a beginner player. However, he's slightly slow and his recovery (compared w/ other characters in the game) sucks. Put him against Marth, and Marth will beat him easily. - Personally, I think the weakest character is Pokemon Trainer. He's hard to play, and the pokemon don't have a lot of strong attacks. - Lastly... the biggest improvements from Melee: Ice Climbers and Bowser. From what i hear, (and have seen) Ice Climbers are a lot easier to play now. Not only that but they can deal serious damage. Bowser's biggest attribute has always been his large size... but now it's been augmented w/ his strength.
I'd reccomend playing Brawl with a GameCube controller, solely because it's easier to grab other characters w/ the gamecube controllers then on the Wii-mote/Nunchucks

I'll weigh in using my previous play session with Eric and Sapph:
This game has NOTHING on Melee. The final smashes completely unbalence the gameplay (some are too powerful, others aren't powerful enough), Sonic's move set is garbage because he lacks Smash attacks that actually do, you know, *damage,* character physics were changed (presumably to rebalence the game) but it just ends up making Link's control ten times more cumbersome (Why is he FLOATING through the air now? Was his down A midair move too cheap, Nintendo?), Solid Snake is flat out cheap (I spend half the rounds going off to a far corner of the map and spamming Nikita missiles), joystick control on the Gamecube controls have very bad control over movement speed, the buttons have lag time on the GC controls, (Use wiimotes? That's not how I roll.) and on top of all of this:
WHERE HAVE ALL THE POST GAME ACHIEVEMENTS GONE?!? It's been SSBM tradition to have a bunch of awards after every play session. WHY DID THEY REMOVE THEM?!? You'd think they'd keep them and expand on them but NOOOOO.
I'll have to play more, but for now I think Nintendo managed to break one of their most solid properties. (no pun intended) I'm disappointed. I thought Brawl would destroy Melee with replay value and enhanced movesets, and I thought they'd give Sonic a move set that rivals his set in "Sonic Battle" on GBA.
As a further note, WHY DON'T MIDAIR DODGES DELAY GRAVITY ANYMORE? I use them a LOT to get more milage out of my jumps without sacrificing a recovery or if a recovery would put me in a bad position getting back to the stage. That's one of the worst offenses in my opinion.

That's one of the worst offenses in my opinion. The delaying of gravity led to a HUGE glitch in Melee called "Wavedashing" it was incredibly cheap because it allowed you to move REALLY fast and be invincible... Well i'm at the point where i can play level 9 computers and beat them most of the time... and here is essentially, my character team - Meta Knight - Pikachu - Ness - Lucas as for reviews wise... i have yet to see 1 bad review of brawl btw... play w/o final smashes or items for that manner.. it's a LOT more fun

Damn I think I am screwed in this game because I haven't been playing it that much. I better start playing this game more but it is probably too late everyone is more skilled than me.

Okay I don't what my previous post was about but this is not the type of game you can play for several hours at a time. Maybe you guys feel differently or maybe I just played too much because I always play this game when I have people over. I like this game because someone who liked to play Melee alot really sucks at this game. I cannot explain why it is so different. Yeah it is fun and yeah I didn't know the wavedash was a glitch I thought they built it in.
