oi.. the nano is stronger than it looks. and i don't think it's exactly redundant. when's the last time you've seen an MP3 player that can play 1000 songs and is smaller than half a credit card? plus there are cases. the Nano is quite strong despite popular belief. remeber smaller = stronger. the iPod Nano is stronger than an iPod video AND it doesn't skip. given the choice between keeping my nano, or getting a shuffle or video? i'd keep the nano in a heartbeat. for videos.... get a portable DVD player AND there are better iPod style video player on the market... including one available in 16:9.

You have my attention- what other iPod-like video players are there on the market in 16:9? I would like to examine specs, as well- part of a purchase decision lies in the storage capacity and battery life. Those nasty road trips can get to be pretty long...
...and yes, I do have a portable DVD player- well, it's my brother's, actually. Portable DVD players don't exactly fit in one's pocket (nor does a DVD disc, so this would make sense), and battery life tends to be pretty short (3- hours).

3- What a crap-ass piece of shit! You can't sit through "King Kong" or "LOTR" with that kinda battery life! I reccomend that you get the first season of "Rocky and Bullwinkle." It fits the battery life (6 episodes at best on one charge), and it's funny too. (Don't think that this is a cheap cartoon in it's humor- I find it very funny. R&B is notorious for it's constant barrage of bad puns and humorus escapades.)

I've heard plenty of R&B had humor the adults could appreciate that the kids wouldn't necessarily get... almost like "Animaniacs", which Warner INSISTS on delaying for DVD release... ARGHHHHH!!!
Nope, I've only brought that player on one of my trips- didn't watch anything on it in an airplane, but I did watch "Dogville" in my hotel room. The other time was, stranded at church and completely bored- supposedly. "Akira Kurosawa's Dreams" and "Reefer Madness" to the rescue! (all of those instances, I had it plugged in)
...the short battery life and large size of a portable DVD player is why I am looking forward to a 16:9 variation of the video iPod (the reason why I would prefer it be an iPod is because I've gotten plenty of music off iTunes, which doesn't support other MP3 players- I would prefer to bring one portable media player around with me, not two. ...but, Skywalker, I would still like info on this 16:9 iPod-like player that you speak of).

Let's see, if I get the laser pointer, I could listen to music while my dog goes crazy. And, Skywalker and Eric, I mean even more crazy than usual.
