one word... WOW...
Black Holes and Revelations was the album i've been looking for for soo many years. Off-beat that isn't too strange, lyrics that have to do w/ philosophy instead of just love, synths that make a track, guitar riffs that just boggle me... The album starts of w/ "Take A Bow", a primarily synth song to apocalypse-esque lyrics. Death You bring death, and destruction to all that you touch Pay You must pay You must pay for your crimes against the earth The next song is "Starlight" which is a nice following to Take a Bow. The song is more light, but still has that dreamy feeling typical of muse. song 3 is "Supermassive Blackhole" this song doesn't fit in... it's like Micheal Jackson meets Prince... not really good.. then "Map of the Problematique"... heavy guitar and synth all around. This take the dreamy feeling and adds it to techno music. the next few songs are pretty good. Soldier's Poem is highly underrated, just because it's slow doesn't mean it's bad. Invincible is a very uplifting song w/ a nice twist near the end. Asassin is a heavy guitar song and scrapes the hard rock genre while still remaing loyal to listeners. Exo-Politics is a rock meets Pop genre that i really like. City of Delusion is really good orchestral rock song. Hoodoo is the only realy song that i dislike on the album then there is Knights of Cydonia... 6 mins of sheer awesomeness. only 4 verses sung throughout the entire song. This is really a neo-western
Overall, this is one of the best albums i've listened to 4/4
Recomendations BUY IT!!!
