After their solid debut, "Fallen", they've left us three years until a new album finally came out.
Their sophomore effort was worth the wait. Along with the hit single "Call Me When You're Sober", Evanescence just can't come up with a mediocre filler song. Every one of them has to be just as beautiful, dark and haunting as the other, and if it takes three years to accomplish that, then so be it!
"Fallen" is one of the few albums that I can listen to constantly without ever getting sick of, and I'm sure "The Open Door" will be just the same.
***1/2 out of four.
