Celldweller's first album is an amazing listen. The tracks feel like they flow from one to the other, the beats (and sometimes the genre itself) shift from track to track, sometimes in the track itself. With it's all-encompassing focus, I'd say this album is one for all seasons.
("The band's general sound can be described as industrial rock that incorporates elements from hard rock, nu-metal, metalcore, techno, trance and breakbeat," according to Wikipedia. Like I said, tracks for all seasons.)
However some of you would care less about lyrics. Well, then there is "The Beta Cessions" (seperate album, also available on iTunes) that you can also get, which has an entire second disc featuring insturmentals of all the songs from this album. I've given a few of those a listen, and I liked those too (you know me, I like lyricless music), but on a few of the tracks, the lack of lyrics made it seem like it was missing something. Usually lyrics on the majority of the music I listen to is either forgettable or I pine for a lyricless version, but suprisingly this isn't the case for Celldweller's first voyage.
I give this album my highest regards.
