Okay, so there are a few things to go over:
Matchbox Twenty only made six new songs in their getting back together, and only one of them is great- their hit single "How Far We've Come". The rest, oddly enough, sounds like other songs. In this set unnecessarily on 2 discs (total one hour, which one disc can certainly handle), their other, filler songs oddly reflect other existing songs. "I Can't Let You Go" sounds a lot like John Mayer's "Gravity", for example (and you know what happens when you remind me of John Mayer...).
Disc 2 is their old hits, which I don't know if they've been re-recorded. It contains all the good stuff, including hits like "Unwell" and "Bent", but also their very best like "Disease" and coming off to an excellent close with "Bright Lights".
Listed at a ridiculous $18 on iTunes, you can get this set for $15 if you look carefully, so basically you're paying the same price for a Greatest Hits album with new stuff... and upon buying the CD, you get a booklet inside that jewel case. Nice!
This compilation gets *** from me. Buy it if you don't own their old songs already; otherwise, just buy "How Far We've Come" on iTunes and call it a day.
