Well, I've come up with a few lines for this one, and a full-fledged trailer written.
Now, I'm in no rush to make this one, I'm still in the planning stage. Still need to come up with dialogue.
Being that this is my "Before Sunset" (and "Before Sunrise", but mostly on the former) tribute, what I want to do is this-
Write a script, and then have someone of the female sex touch up the dialogue for the girl character's part to make it a little more realistic. The film, as a pseudo-Dogme95, has some rules to how it's made-
-Handheld camera. Shouldn't be a problem since the film is one long tracking shot anyways.
-No post-production on the sound and picture. Other than pillarboxing to a 1.66:1 aspect ratio, there should be no other manipulation on the image. (I'm not even gonna color-correct this thing) The sound, it's just duplicating the left channel (I'm not filming this until we get an external mike, and most likely, will be mono) onto the right.
-The film itself is one continuous take, and takes place in real time. The film opens on a watch about to hit a certain minute, and then it turns up, and the girl's there. This take is the ENTIRE film, the film is nothing BUT this take. Because of that, there are no opening or ending titles or credits. The credits will be contained in the Production Notes. (I might do that more often; people hate credits, and never read them. If they want to, at least it's in a place where it's LEGIBLE, and they can read at their own pace)
The trailer, which does not have to follow by these rules, acts somewhat of a prologue.
...I'm creating things, I gotta give people a reason to look at them. So the same day I film this movie, I'm filming the trailer-specific scenes. (just so I don't have to bother with scheduling conflicts TWICE) And yes, I already have hand-picked a location for the "another park":
It's right in front of my old house. Hey, it's gotta be another park, right? I'm not gonna use trick photography with Memorial Park, I want realism, damn it!
...besides that, I'd like a location I'M near, for once. I have to go 6 miles for filming normally, I'd like it to be only one, for once. (let me put it this way: somewhere I can BIKE to)
