I can attach the real thing (It's formatted differently and has certain passages boldend and underlined. ) to an e-mail in a word document. I'm pleased with it and the content isn't actually all that important. But do notice a few things:
The longest instruction is for brushing your teeth The word serivce is in caps and appears frequently Refernces to the way the Star test is proctored are peppered throughout. At the end we see Marge Sampson (Simpson, duh) followed by Gregory. Of Sampson and Gregory fame. Clever, eh? Eh? Eh!!? The "Second hot water mark" refers to markings on the water temp. handle. I always wanted a handle that would have lines for the proper temperature to wash your hands or warm your toothbrush in the morning. (yes I like a warm toothbrush!) The Schedule is based off how my morning goes. Scary! Check and see how close the Schedule is to your day.

Wow. Bullshit-tacular. My Schedule isn't THAT regulated. This actually looks- um.... Supressed. (Please, laugh at the in-joke. Please.)

So it seems Eric doen't know how long it will take to film this. To answer his question I present a bulleted list[/]
- Day 1: I bring the script to school and talk over how I want the movie made exactly. That means the general style, the sound design, and the special effects.
- Day 2: I bring the script to school and talk over how I want the movie made exactly. That means the general style, the sound design, and the special effects. Special effects might be made on school computers if possible. Sean says he can make a program to create the title sequence and a "face" for the robot clocks. (Planning shouldn't happen in one day, but if it does, all the better)
- Day 3: A Saturday is used to film the entire movie. Just going through it once and assembling a rough cut of the film. That should take about 3-4 hours because the movie is so short. there is one group shot, that will be filmed today as well. There will be no redos for this so it might be done several times. It will be the last thing shot that day.
- Day 4: The rough cut is edited and then viewed with the robot voice track synchronized over it, as many sound effects added as possible, and the robot clocks.
- Day 5: The film is reshot using another Saturday with new camera angles, scene lengthenings or possibly scene replacements as necessary. Pickups will also be shot on that day. (Although pickups really shouldn't be necessary.)
- Day 6: the movie is then redited into what should be its final form. If more shots are needed (and very few should be needed at this point) then they'll be shot possibly by myself.

Ah, but don't worry. Youre' only involved in the twenty minute group shoot. Then I'll be sending everyone home. The most anticlimatic filming day ever. But don't worry, you'll get to see the footage and check progress.
Oh, and Kenny, you're the maintenance leader (read the script)
Just made some annotations to the script. I haven't changed the text but I added notes. Stuff like where to put the camera and what is synced over what. I'm proud of what I've got and I am eager to start. (But first, I'll wait.)

Give yourself an hour. You know how filming goes... (besides, I hanker for a new "Customer")

You pick something up. That's the shot. It's that simple. It shouldn't take more than 20 minutes.

Following along with the trend of intellectual films having biblical references one of the clocks is going to flash 6:50. In reference to Ephesians 6:5-9
Ephesians 6:5-9: "Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him."
This shot comes right after the phrase "the future" And yes I'm well aware that no one will be die hard enough to figure that one out unless I put "there is one biblical reference in this film!" in the credits. It'd be fun just to see what people come up with.

...wouldn't it make more sense for the clock to flash 6:59, then?
...I was planning on putting a Biblical reference in "Mozoukani", though nowhere near as intellectual as yours for "Schedule". Mine would be Revelations 3:20 (inspired by the bottom of an In-and-Out Burger Wrapper).

Hmmm. 6:5(0) is fine. It's where you would start reading, not where you would stop reading. It could just as well be 6:05, but that would be too easy.

So Eric and I filmed a little bit of Schedule today, at last! Even if we end up discarding all the footage or using only a little of it Eric and I have some great new in jokes. Some you'll just never get, that simple.
Anyway in three hours we filmed twelve minutes of footage. That might seem unproductive, but compare that to Fight Movie II where it took more than three hours for two minutes of footage. Much of it is short, twenty or so second shots that will be composed in the editing room. I have a good idea (as much as Eric would like to think!) of what I want to see edited, and a lot of the film comes some special effects and things that are yet to be done.
That said it's not like nothing was filmed. We were able to do the end of the film and parts of the middle. Sound effects were also taken, particularly the printer.
What remains: (This is a long list of fairly quick things) -All the violent shots. -Need shots of clock faces showing different times. A trip to Target or Fry's might be necessary for that. -All the Robot voice overs (which I'll have to redo since I've improved the script a bit from what you see on the forum) -The opening of the film -the group shots -several outdoors shots -a few shots indoors when he's being observed...more than ususual. -Any extensions we need to fit the voiceovers. Although I don't anticipate anything in addition to what we already did.
So I was pleased with how the day went out, my idea of an overhead camera worked out almost as well as I had imagined. I would have like a remote control operated camera. Something that could be mounted on a table and then remotely activated without an operator. It probably won't be necessary as much next shoot due to the use of outdoors and more personal angles.
Eric hinted at a production diary, where's that coming from?
Next shoot will be next week. Below is an outline of that. The outline above was never followed and although is really pie-in-the-sky organized, I don't think we have the willingness or ability to be that on task. (But please feel free to prove me wrong!)

FILMING OF DIGITAL CLOCK FACES SHOULD ALREADY BE COMPLETED BEFORE THE SHOOT. - Eric arrives at 1:00. From 1-2:30 we film all the violent shots. -2:30-3:20- Then we film some all the outdoor schedule stuff not involving the group. -3:20-4:00 (Everyone will be instructed to arrive at around 3. Those who come on time will be told to wait inside with mom) All the group shots, there's about one group shot but it can only be done once so it might as well take forty minutes. It involves a simultaneous cue, everyone coming out at around the same time, after Fight Movie II we know that's impossible.
As for the violent stuff we can count it that we have our first ever constructed set for a special effect. Dad and I hammered together some floor boards in the garage and we can remake the knife dropping in the pool of blood effect. And this time I can have a larger pool! We can also tilt the "floor" on a diagonal, having the blood kind of trickle rush down past the camera like a river, or slowly drip like that wall shot. I also have an okay to redo the tub stuff and use the tub as much as I want, as long as liquid is poured, never tossed or splashed. (We also have to be supervised, but it shouldn't be a problem.)

A trailer will also be posted in outline form on the site as soon as I can think of one. It should last about 45 seconds to a minute, appropriate in proportion to the lenght of the film. And I'll write it so that not ever the trailer will be school approved!

I'll probably post something in my "Visions" production journal tomorrow- too tired out right now to write anything about it.
Yes, nice, brilliant in-jokes came out of today's shoot.
