Reminder to Sean to bring his laptop, and just as urgently a reminder to ERIC to brint his CAMCORDER for TOMORROW.
***Note to our competitors, the opening sequence should end in white. The closing sequence has to start from black. (Yes you have to do both, probably as a seperate file for Kenny).

Ok. As soon as I finish something I'll get back on it! (EDIT: The competition has it's own thread in General. Post there in the future.)

The robot voices were about 80% of how I imagined them. That's actually pretty good, considering I imagined them at a level in which we would need voice actors and a robot voice filter. If the voice tally up to around 9 minutes that means the film will probably go about that length. The length Electric Maze should have gone on for, and should have felt like. But enough student film bashing.
In order to begin editing, and really starting to see the film coming together, I'll need Eric's address so I can get to his house around 2:30 and leave about 5:00. Just a reminder to tell me at school, not on the forums of course.
As I've never been in the editing room before and don't know how to deal with an editor or the editing process I expect this to take longer than just a few hours. I am hoping to get at least half the film done though.

Eric, you may wish to type up a primer, something I should know before I get into the editing room. Just as a time saving and briefer-precautionary measure thingy.
Because this is the Schedule forum, why not give your opinion on how you think you're going to edit the film, or more interestingly, what you think I might be doing?

Define "primer".
I'm planning on synching together the multi-angle shots by matching sound, almost getting them exact- so it leads to almost perfect cuts to the alternating angles. Most of the time, it will be by-the-script, unless the director differs otherwise. I don't think I've ever had a supervised editing session before (though you did get a 10-minute glance of me uploading footage for and editing clips of "Fight Movie 3", but without any input), so this should be interesting.
Mostly, it's matching clips together, and getting whatever I can out of certain clips. If it does not come with sounds the film requires, and it's a long take, I'll have the part of the clip cut out that best fits the context of the robot voices.
Speaking of which, I have not uploaded any of last filming session's footage, or the voices. Been very busy lately.

Fair enough, a primer is a brief instructional document written for those with little to no exposure on the subject. Primers are often in pamphlet form and was a popular name for textbooks in the fifties. My Dad still has his "Primer on English Grammar" from decades ago. That how I know it was from the fifties.
Anyway I'm not too sure how fast paced this will be, whether I'll be sitting around on a bed most of the time waiting for you to ask questions or if it will be question, answer, shot, sound, cut, next, review, question, next, next, transition, sound, redo, next. I hope it will be the latter, because that's how filming should be, at least some of the time.

So no editing tomorrow, in fact no editing until probably Monday. I would like to come in on Monday or Tuesday and be presented with a chronologically organized version fo the film which can be filed down and edited. Even if a few of the sequences are out of place, as long as they are in general order. I would also like to see some of the clock faces, which so far have been absent. I acknowledge that puts a big responsibility on Eric, however he would have to do it anyway if I was there. I have delayed this until Monday so that I can review the credits sequence and have that into the film same day. I'm hoping that by coming over at around three hours a day the film should be finished by Thrusday.

Don't forget, we have to shoot Productivity's trailer, and I'd like to start work on TIMA: Episode 1's voice overs.

Push it towards the end of the week. I suppose you could start Wednesday kind of around 1 and conclude around 3. I'd then edit with Eric until around 5 and everything should work out. You should need only four or five hours, right?
But the relevance here is we can film a movie and edit a movie simultaneosly and come out with two products by the end of the week. It would be a nice way to one up last year which had only one good full length project.

I like how A Day with a Granola Bar is higher than this on our Upcoming Projects Board.
Anyway so what will probably happen is we'll review all the footage to remind ourselves of where we are. (Not all of it. Just to get a general idea). During that a list will be compiled against the script of the time key for each shot that will fit into place. So the timeline will be actively revised on paper. After the film is edited with existing video and audio extra footage will be shot, inserted, and the rough cut will be polished. That sounds pie in the sky and Eric probably has different plans but I hate to just go there and say a plan will emerge.

No, it's good to have some sort of plan out there- a plan is better than no plan.

Skywalker, do you have the opening and closing credits ready to send to Eric?
And Eric, do you have clock footage? If some Mutants will be filmed Saturday then I might be coming over on Sunday (that was the day last week so I'm assuming the same should be acceptable this week). Say from 2-5. The film at that point should be pretty much out of the way. Hopefully.

Since you guys don't need my credits I should go ahead and delete them from the SDK.

No, I have NOT shot the clock footage- I thought we decided that you should shoot it. If you do, though, remember to turn WIDE mode on your camera off (I think it's still on 16:9 from when we were filming "The Suite").
If Sunday (tomorrow) is fine with you- or really, fine with your mom. The rest of my family (parents included) is heading off for a conference, but I'm staying home. Just so she knows that my parents aren't gonna be home tomorrow, then 2-5 is fine.
