I have a concept. Which is why I figured it appropriate to post this.
The Concept: Hearing the tale of the Zombii, a boy tries to raise an army of the living dead. He partly succeeds, resurrecting three very angry Zombiis. The boy has three friends, currently unnamed, who go off into the woods to seek him. Then the three are split up by a Zombii ambush. We follow each of the three as they succumb to three different deaths in three different horror styles.

Haha. I might do that for "ZOMBIE!!! Holy Shit, They Made a Trilogy". I already have a plotline for "ZOMBIS!!! Holy Shit, They Made a Sequel", the one I discussed at the beginning of the year- finding the tapes of the original "ZOMBI!!!" (remember there were TWO people killed in there), watching them, and sending an army to go all-out on the zombis, a la "Resident Evil" (the movie).

But an army movie gets complex. We need guns and costumes. Although, if we can get those, then it shouldn't be that difficult...

I got a budget solution for that part, too-
Any of youse ever hear of something called a militia? Non-uniformed people, possibly wearing army-like clothing but not full-fledged uniforms. Don't worry, I'll have something with the costumes, but army uniforms would be too expensive.
Besides, it's not what I want.

So then, what do you want? And what kind of weapons will it require? The conventional guns that we have, or something new? (My guns are pretty beat up, I might have to find $70 to buy a new set. 70 because the swords cost 30.)

I'll probably use what's left of the guns. I don't require that many; I'll probably only have 3 guns on-screen at the same time. (besides, Kevin got new ones for LFM, so I think I'll have plenty for "ZOMBIS!!!")

The script is on my backburner. I'd like to write it. I haven't fully written anything since FM 2 and everyone knows how that movie was received.

I started writing the script. The opening credits has horror elements, and the rag tag band of soldiers have a "this is what we're gonna do" style opening meeting . Then I'm going to go straight into the shoot-'em- horror action.
And on a totally unrelated note, I bought Sideways on DVD.

Whoa, you actually BOUGHT IT? I don't know if you'd like the film enough to BUY, I'd say rent it first, but whatever... I think you've already been forewarned that there's plenty of wine references in the film that nobody but a wine expert would get. (still shouldn't detract from the enjoyment of the film; has some of the best direction and cinematography I've seen for a while (it actually respects the fact that movie screens are 10 feet tall, so peoples' heads aren't the size of Mount Rushmore))
For some reason, your script sounds just like my idea. Or is that what it's supposed to be? (is the script you're writing my concept for "ZOMBIS!!!", or what I said could be "ZOMBIE!!!"?)

Personally, I wanted to buy Reservoir Dogs because I knew I would like that, but Mom wanted to buy a movie we could both watch. Along with Sideways I bought Metamorphosis by Kafka. Surprisingly readable, almost as much as A Scanner Darkly. (Which has been delayed until 2006) Also bought the Rubber Soul album. No filler, great recording quality, excellent mixing.
As Zombies goes I am writing based on your concept. Why? Because it's your trilogy! I just jumped on writing it first. You could, if you wanted too, but you don't seem as excited as me to write something. I'll have as much as I have written up by later today or tomorrow morning on the Alliance Site. One question, how smart do you want the Zombies too be? Are they able to communicate with each other through grunts? Are they independent with a sense of each other's actions? How do you kill a Zombi? Do you just shoot it? Do you have to remove it's head like in Resident Evil (the game)? Or do you have to undo the spell that awakened them? (Like in that Halloween Episode of the Simpsons when Bart and Lisa revive the dead.)

I might do one part where a zombi is being hacked to pieces out-of-frame (where you see everything but the zombi being hacked up; as in, the machete/axe/blade/whatever hacking it up and the guy wielding it, with sounds of the hacking on the far-right), though it might produce too horrific an effect. Well, not that I don't mind, I kind of do intend this as a camp flick, but I don't mind if it has something slightly horrific, considering zombies are a staple of horror films.
Most of them will get shot, but I'm thinking of some unique ways to kill them. ("unique" as in besides getting shot)
I'm definitely not making a "28 Days Later" here, which isn't a zombie movie, it's a very well-made survival film that happens to be the people trying to survive an epidemic of people turning into zombies (please don't kill me, Danny Boyle). It's not about the action, and in my opinion, not about the horror, either, since it really isn't that scary- it's about the film itself, as a whole, which holds up very well. I've got to loan that to you sometime.
Your mom couldn't stand "Pulp Fiction", she'll stand "Reservoir Dogs" even less. (the film, for one, has an ultra-racist line (which is the most memorable quote in the film), but comes from the bad guys (but they're the main characters). Second, a comparison; I'm surprised Pulp is considered the most vulgar film ever made, because if you look- Pulp uses the F-word 272 times in 148 minutes. Reservoir, on the other hand, while using it 252 times, which is 20 less, it's in a mere 95 minutes. However, the only real issue in Reservoir is the nonstop language and some horrific scenes of violence- Pulp has "that scene") I also have that, it was a blind-buy ($10 at a Wal-Mart), absolutely loved it. I'll loan that one sometime, just make sure nobody's in the room.
My mum was shocked that your mum would let you watch "Sideways", considering that there's two sex scenes in the film. (both of which are somewhat explicit, but my dad's opinion is, perfect for keeping teens off of sex (it's not as much of a turn-off as the sex scene in "The Matrix Reloaded", though))
Go ahead, write the dialogue; I'd come up with crappy lines, anyway. Hell, Sergio Leone knew it with "Once Upon a Time in America"- that's why he had an American writer fill in the blanks to his screenplay! (the first draft, he got translated to him in Italian, saying "Hehehehe... this is funny... I DON'T WANT FUNNY!")
DEFINITELY not the spell thing. Absolutely not. There's not gonna be a deus ex machina in my film! I know all these camp flicks have 'em, but mine is gonna be the one that don't.

Yeah, that's right Kevin, you're gonna be the squad lead. I had that in mind ever since I originally pitched the idea to Richie, when he first saw this site. "Oh, Kevin would be PERFECT as the guy who runs like hell like a little coward after his friends get eaten up, then rethinks as he remembers he has guns and goes completely apeshit!"

I've only started to write it. Feel free to take it out of my hands. I will have my opening to the story on the alliance site this Friday. So you should look on the SCHEDULE page for the URL.
