I've decided I'll make it a 4-disc set, with jewel case- I much prefer the DVD keep cases, but the jewel cases are cheaper (part of the reason for this is to help finance, however "soda money" our profits our- we might lose money using the twice-as-expensive keep cases), I can fit the soundtrack CD and booklet in it, and it'll be easier to make booklets for a jewel case than a keep case.
Employees will get this deluxe set for free. Everyone else is going to have to shell $14 out for it.

Good. I'm looking foward to the completion of this ambitious marketing strategy. I wish us luck!

As G-2 nears its completion, the creation of this DVD set draws near. (...which would mean I should get to work on "Ambulance")
The plan is still to spread this set over 3 discs, the new plan is:
Disc 1: Inakamichi (Visions), 1.66:1 16x9 The Supremacy of Terrence, 1.66:1 16x9 Code of "Con"duct, 1.33:1 4x3 another walk in the park, 1.66:1 16x9 + extras associated with respective films
Disc 2: Leviathan, 1.78:1 16x9 The Mind, 1.78:1 16x9 Dudes, 1.66:1 16x9 Dudes: part duce, 1.66:1 16x9 SCHEDULE, 1.33:1 4x3 Code of "Con"duct, 1.78:1 16x9 + extras associated with respective films
Disc 3: Fight Movie: a pilot, 1.66:1 16x9 Fight Movie 1.5, 2.20:1 16x9, 1.33:1 4x3 Fight Movie II, 2.20:1 16x9, 1.33:1 4x3 Fight Movie 3, 2.20:1 16x9, 1.33:1 4x3 Fight Ultimatum, 2.20:1 16x9 Fight Movie 4, 2.20:1 16x9, 1.33:1 4x3 The Last Fight Movie in the Universe, 1.33:1 4x3, 1.78:1 16x9 Fury of the Blade, multi-aspect 4x3, multi-aspect 16x9 ZOMBI!!!, 1.33:1 4x3 + extras associated with respective films
The reason for distributing the two formats for "Code of 'Con'duct" over two discs is to even out the disc space used. Otherwise, Disc 1 would essentially contain 90 minutes of material, whilst Disc 2 would probably contain 50- with this evening out, the first two discs should contain 70 minutes of material each, and the third disc should contain around an hour.
3 hours for $14 isn't bad, considering other online filmmakers are selling far less material for the same price.

Fight Movie 2005: Movie (1:78:1, 1:66:1 [16:9, 4:3]) Gag Reel (1:78:1, 1:66:1 [16:9, 4:3]) Documentary: "Guns and Swords- the Story of the Last Fight Movie in the Universe" (in progress, I have plenty of usable production footage, piece this one together after I finish adding stuff to the gag reel) Me, Eric, and Richie will talk about conditions on the set, temper flares, the annoying screwing around, the dog incident, and my choreography. Clips from production will play over the commenary, and sometimes the person talking will be sitting in a chair talking about the film, like the documentaries circulating on DVDs these days, you know what I mean?

And why is SCHEDULE in 1:33:1? Shouldn't you try a 1:66:1? Or 1:78:1? (if possible)

LFMITU was shot in 4x3. The DVD will have both original 1.33:1 aspect ratio and a 1.78:1 matted widescreen edition for the film. The differences between 1.66:1 (within a 16x9 image) and 1.78:1 on a television monitor are virtually unnoticeable, since TV overscan cuts off a little bit of all four sides. If a production was shot on 16x9, I can take advantage of the TV overscan to slightly reframe and re-center certain shots. (see deadmooseinc.tripod.com/id4.html)However, with "Code of 'Con'duct" and LFMITU (both shot in 4x3), a 1.66:1 re-centering would be undesirable, since there would be cropping on all four sides of the original 4x3 image, instead of just the two horizontal sides for 16x9. SCHEDULE is in 1.33:1 because Richie had shot footage of the film that way (I don't think he switched the camera's mode to 16x9). We both agreed, over phone conversation, that it would be a better aspect ratio for the film, as it's a more convincing frame for hidden cameras.

All right. How about your views on the documentary? Good title? Feasible? (I'm going to assemble a rough cut with titles for what I'm going to say. Then you and richie both add titles and send the new editing file back to me. M'kay?)

I might do a commentary reel depending on how much I have to say about the shooting rather than the writing. Because a lot of the movie comes from well defined audio a brief commentary will probably be devoted to that. There won't be any philosophical indepth commentary because that would take away a lot of the fun, right? If I can find the original short story Schedule is based on that will be provided as well. If not I can just discuss the adaptation process as part of the commentary. (becuase I imagine having about five sentences worth of information on the adaptation. )

Would LFM look like shit if it was letterboxed to 2:20:1?

Yup- it would have 40% of its visuals cropped out. Plenty of the shots would work matted to 16x9, but barely any of them would work in 2.20:1.
Hence, why there's an alternate 16x9 version that'll go with its original 4x3 aspect ratio. (the main reason why is- while DVD players configured for 4x3 TVs can downconvert 16x9 images to standard letterbox, most players configured for 16x9 TVs can't downconvert 4x3 to pillarbox. The person using the TV will either have to grab the remote and turn pillarbox on and back off again (most people don't tend to do this), use a zoom-in function (nearly all 16x9 TVs have this function), or worst of all- watch the 4x3 image stretched out and distorted into the 16x9 set. The 16x9 matted versions of CoCd (and LFMITU) aren't simply matting the image and showing the center throughout- sometimes, the top part, or the bottom, will be in frame)
As for me, I've yet to decide where I'll do a commentary on. For awitp, I might either have an entirely separate feature or an audio commentary describing the methods used in the animation and sound mixing. (and yes, I'm progressing on animation of "Ambulance", which has already become the hardest animation I've done yet (pencil tests have already proven to be useful)) For "Visions", I might have a select-scene commentary, or I'll leave it to the production notes... or something. I do plan to have commentaries for the three mini-movies (done by Terrence and Claude (in-character)).

i think it would be appropriate to also add trailers to the movies and upcoming movies... i'm nearing completion of the Leviathan theatrical trailer, soon going to begin a CoCd theatrical trailer. With the experimental footage that i'm getting for TIC, i'm probably going to make a teaser trailer. And finally, tmrw, i decided i'm also going to do another experiment by filming a shot for "Con"cession

Oh yes, trailers for upcoming projects would most definitely be welcome on this DVD release.
Keep in mind that we will not be making "'Con'cession" if the final script ends up being a carbon-copy of the original. There are other projects that we can do.
My main focus, after "Visions", LFMITU, "The Mind" and SCHEDULE are finished, will be on this DVD set- as I have said before, I want to make sure we set a standard for all other amateur online filmmakers' DVDs.
Okay, maybe it won't change the world, but I definitely want this to be our great DVD debut (and sell a few copies).

In that case, I should do a trailer for "Productivity" and "TIMA: Season I" on the discs too...

TIMA will probably not be featured as a trailer on the DVD release- reason being, I don't want to limit our audience even more than we're already doing currently.
...and "no unlicenced music" still applies to the trailers!
I've done my second pencil test for "Ambulance", and what I've seen from it, I'll definitely be doing a lot more pencil tests for this little short. (from the looks of the last pencil test, 12fps supports what I've done so far better than 8fps) I'm just animating one character, and it's already gone to vast complexity.
